– THE MILITARY COUP –
Not content with writing, producing and releasing an eight-track album Full Circle in only February (and predecessor Own Pace just last November) Medhane returns with a new full-length entitled Cold Water.
I’m Deadass is its first single.
And the track marks a real return to form for the Brooklyn rapper. In terms of lyrics and flow, he’s on point as ever. But where the track really excels is in its soundscape.
Having brought producer iblss on-board, the track samples a horn line that – in keeping with the woozy, slightly punch-drunk tone of the album as a whole, peaks through the track’s pianos and beats like a dull sunlight breaking through the fog of a milky autumn morning.

Cold Water is out now through TBHG.
