ANDERSON .PAAK | LAMB | DJ JENIFA | SNARKY PUPPY | LAMBCHOP
Hello again friends, freaks and fans of nu-jazz music of the kind that is always “on your side” even when it’s orchestrating the sort of mass mayhem that’s likely to shit on your children and your children’s children for years to come.
In the week that British Prime Minister Theresa May attempted to buddy up to her largely disenfranchised public, it makes one think about who you’d actually like to be bunkered up with if Brexit actually tears the arse out of everything and we all end up living underground as is increasingly becoming a less ridiculous scenario than the one we find ourselves in.
And I’ll be honest, you could do a lot worse than getting yourself shacked up with this week’s featured artists. Anderson .Paak, for a start, strikes me as the sort of “life and soul of the party” kind of guy that we could all get on with.
And he’d be joined by the madcap troupe that is Snarky Puppy and Chelmsford’s impeccably dressed DJ Jenifa (AKA Gold Panda). All of the above bring their best boogie-ing shoes with dance, jazz and funk tracks that are hot this week.
Sure, the two “lamb”s in this week’s offering seem slightly on the morose side nowadays but can you blame them when one of them has literally turned into a food item by the end of the playlist? Their tracks provide the Peaceful Protest and Quiet Riot offerings.
And so, if any of that has got you re-writing your fantasy dinner party guest list, make sure you click on the links below to hear their excellent tracks…
ANDERSON .PAAK | “KING JAMES”
LAMB | “MOONSHINE”
DJ JENIFA | “MLL”
SNARKY PUPPY | “XAVI”
LAMBCHOP | “CROSSWORDS, OR WHAT THIS SAYS ABOUT YOU”
